Teak Garden Furniture:

We use premium quality, close grained Javanese Teak which is naturally high in natural oils making it the ideal choice for outdoor garden furniture. It is highly resistant to rotting and almost impervious to the effect of sun, rain, frost or snow. Teak requires minimal maintenance and can be left outside to age gracefully to a light silver colour. We kiln dry the wood to a moisture level of between 8-12% to ensure your furniture will not crack or warp. We recommend that you leave your furniture to naturally weather.

Cleaning:

Use a cloth, warm water and a mild soap to clean your furniture once or twice a year. Any stains such as red wine or oil should be wiped down as soon as possible to break up the stain penetration and will eventually fade with the weathering process. Very stubborn stains can be sanded along the wood grain using a very fine sandpaper but please ensure the surface area is thoroughly dry before doing this.

Teak Oil:

We do NOT recommend the use of any teak oil or varnish product on our grade A teak as this can strip the natural oils from the wood and reduce the lifespan of the furniture. If you wish to slow down the weathering process and help to retain the honey colour of your furniture then a good quality teak sealer can be used. A sealer such as Teak Wonder will not affect the longevity or durabilty of your furniture.

Storage:

Our teak garden furniture can be left outside all year round without affecting its longevity or durabilty. If you wish to store your teak furniture over winter then we strongly advise that you do not move the furniture from an outdoor area immediately into a heated indoor area as the change in temperature and humidity can cause cracking.

Stainless Steel Garden Furniture:

Ocean Garden Furniture uses premium grade 304, polished stainless steel to manufacture its furniture. Our stainless steel is resistant to corrosion however if brown spots appear on the stainless steel then these can be gently cleaning by rubbing the surface area. For more stubborn areas a stainless steel cleaner can be used. Brown spotting is perfectly normal and does not affect the lifespan or durabilty of your furniture.

Aluminium:

We use only prime virgin aluiminium which is powder coated to ensure the longevity of your furniture. Aluminium does not rust. If the aluminium becomes discoloured due to oxidisation then simply clean with mild soap and water.

Woven Garden Furniture:

Our woven furniture is produced using the highest quality man-made fibres. We use Viro™weave which has been extensively tested to withstand temperatures ranging from -70°c to +80°c and is completely weather resistant, washable and durable. It is also non-toxic, eco friendly and UV resistant. Weave requires very little maintenance and a mild soap and water can be used to wipe over the surface.

Sling Garden Furniture:

High quality Batyline sling is used in our garden furniture which is fade, mildew and tear resistant. Batyline is a woven PVC vinyl non stretch yarn which is stylish, comfortable and practical. Dirty marks or stains can be easily spot cleaned with a mild soap and water.
